Michigan Wolverines at the University of Michigan was one of the teams responsible for turning American college basketball upside down back in the 90s, giving a new rhythm to the way the game is run. Even the American professional league, the NBA, was considerably influenced not only technically, for every point scored (read swag), and also for  the "trash talk", larger uniforms, in the way of walking, and talking.

Few teams in any sport have had such a lasting impact as the "Fab Five" has had in basketball at all levels. Let’s remember the players and where they are today:

Jalen Rose he was a natural scorer of the Wolverines and perhaps the greatest example of what it is to have a swag on a court. He played for 13 years in the NBA for Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls, Toronto Raptors, New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns. Today he is a sports analyst for ESPN.

After the Michigan Wolverines, Chris Webber had a successful career in the American professional basketball league. The first choice in the 1993 NBA Draft for Orlando Magic where he was soon replaced by Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway to play for the Golden State Warriors. He also played for the the Washington Bullets, Washington Wizards, Sacramento Kings, Philadelphia 76ers, Detroit Pistons and again Golden State Warriors where he would end his career after 15 years. Today is a commentator for TNT's Inside The NBA show.

Juwan Howard, was the team's third scorer with an average of 11 points per game. Drafted in 1994 by Washington Bullets in the first choice of the fifth round where he would play for 7 years. He was an athlete for the Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic, Houston Rockets, Charlotte Bobcats, Portland Trail Blazers and Miami Heat where he ended his career. Still at the Miami Heat, he became a technical assistant for 6 years. Today, as good son, he has come back home and is now a Michigan Wolverines coach.

Jimmy King, was the Michigan Wolverines guard forward between 91 and 92. Next he was the 35th choice in the second round of the Toronto Raptors in the NBA draft in 95 where he played only two years. Today he is vice president of TruChampions, an educational and sports recruitment company that prepares and guides students and athletes in the transition from high school to college.

Ray Jackson, rounded out the starting five and was the least-heralded member of the group. Jackson never played in the NBA. In 2017, he was coaching his high school basketball team in Austin, Texas. He recently participated in a SXSW panel about paying college athletes.
