Designed by one of Chicago's most renowned architecture firms, ‘Ross Barney Architects’, Mc Donald’s inaugurates its first renewable energy-based facility with the resources to cover 100% of all its energy for one year.

Built in a 'warehouse' considering the humid climate of the city, the unit will serve as a pilot for the company to test other sustainable solutions for later implementation in other restaurants. Cleaning and kitchen equipment that uses electricity was analyzed and only those that have technology aimed at reducing energy consumption have been selected for the operation.

McDonald’s is also dedicated to reducing gas emissions by predicting a reduction of 36% in all its branches by 2030. Located at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, the restaurant is in the pre-opening phase and serves only Drive-Thru and delivery.
