On September 21 it was announced the partnership between Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan in a new NASCAR team featuring Bubba Wallace as the main driver.
Over the past 10 years, Jordan, who has invested more than $ 100 million in initiatives dedicated to social injustices as well as to racial intolerance, also takes advantage of NASCAR's visibility, especially after the episode of racism involving Bubba, as a chance to 're-educate' the public and open up more opportunities for blacks within the motor racing world as a whole.
Throughout history, there has been little black participation leading any team at NASCAR. In the 60s, Wendell Scott was the first African American driver to have earned a title in the sport, and now we have MJ as the first African American heading a NASCAR team.
Jordan and Bubba have joined forces to represent voice and strength, not only in sport, but mainly in all areas that are normally haunted and violated by racial intolerance and social injustice.
