Formerly known as Mandalay Bay Events Center, the current arena where WNBA's Las Vegas Aces plays, had the name rights purchased by the American brewery Anheuser-Busch and will now be called Michelob Ultra Arena. The space which also hosts several concerts, conferences, sporting events, is fully operated by MGM Resorts and has a capacity for 12,000 spectators.
The long-term agreement will integrate the beer brand to all bars and lounges, in addition to allowing participation in various advertisement activations and exposure in the various events that take place throughout the year.
The news coincides with the recent sale of Las Vegas Aces to Mark Davis, who also owns the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders franchise. This can generate a great commercial synergy between both franchises and the city is certainly on the way to become one of the sport’s capitals in the United States.
