'SAVAGE X FENTY' BECOMES THE BILLIONAIRE OF LINGERIES

"Savage x Fenty", Rihanna's most celebrated lingerie brand, is only three years old but it has already amassed a series of achievements worthy of a veteran brand. According to Forbes, the artist managed to reach a market valuation of 1 billion dollars, equivalent to more than 5 billion Brazilian Reais.


The achievement came after a Series B business round, which secured $ 115 million in financing for the expansion of the retail and sportswear business. This expansion will be led by the private equity firm (an investment modality in which a manager acquires part of another growing company) called L Catterton, which in turn has a stake in another company, LVMH, Riri's partner.


 

The news came a week after LVMH and Rihanna announced the closure of Fenty so they could focus on "long-term development of the company's ecosystem with a focus on makeup, skin care and lingerie".


It suffices to follow a little bit of the "Savage x Fenty" trajectory to understand the brand's inclusive and visionary approach, made for all bodies. In the past year, it has grown over 200% in revenue and has seen its base of active VIP members grow by more than 150. So far, the lingerie brand has raised a total of $ 185 million. Riri really can (and gets) everything she wants.
