In order to celebrate WNBA’s 25th season, and in a partnership with Nike, the league has announced the new uniforms that will be worn in the 2021-22 season, the collection will be available not only for players, but also for fans and is certainly one of the most inclusive in the history of the league.
New York Liberty
Available in three editions for each of the twelve teams in the league, they bring with them stories of their respective cities and particularities of their communities bearing a unique identity: the WNBA Nike Explorer Edition seeks out the creative margins of team identity, the WNBA Nike Rebel Edition that represents inspiring themes o female empowerment from their cities and their communities and the WNBA Nike Heroine Edition, returns as the hite uniform for the first time since 2015.
“The basketball uniform is an important representation of the brand of WNBA players and teams, and a point of pride for fans,” says WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert. “In partnership with Nike, unveiling new and exciting adaptations of the WNBA uniforms is a dynamic way to build on the foundation of the league’s first 25 years.”
