When the talk of the town is technology, media outlets are unanimous in pointing out the NFT as a candidate for the year’s revelation in the category "tech bubble".
As we have already reported here, through our article on the early days of NBA TOP SHOT, the NBA platform in partnership with the association of its professional athletes, the NFT seems to play a fundamental role in the propagation and loyalty of the sport's fan base as well as in promoting new forms of artistic expression aimed at collectors.
NFTs take into account important pillars for creative production, such as authenticity, the possibility of transfer and the preservation of artistic copy rights. This served as an outlet in which thousands of newcomers and renowned artists were able to reach an audience of collectors around the world freely and supported by a technology that, for the first time in a while, seems to benefit the main stakeholders, that is, the artists.
Like video art, illustration and music, photography saw in the NFT the possibility of doing all that is relevant and original again. Recently classic images, portrayed by the so-called “Rembrandt of the Sports ”, Walter Loos Jr., were available through a collection called GOATS, in which ten images of icons of different modalities were sold at auction through the NFTS technology.
