We are about one month away from the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Tokyo, and it’s about time our STREETOPIA readers have an idea of who’s in from the NBA.

The USA Basketball's roster will allegedly include two NBA All-Stars and possibly a five in total, which goes to show how serious the US is about showing off its strength in the coming competition. The Olympic team will be led by Gregg Popovich who has had a previous experience in the competition. The San Antonio Spurs coach has already won a bronze medal as an assistant under Larry Brown at the 2004 Games.

STREETOPIA was able to confirm that the two All-Star players are Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers and Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors, they said they have already spoken to the delegation and are indeed committed to play for USA. For Lillard, it will be his first time at the Olympics since he decided not to go to the Rio Games due to rehab plantar fasciitis. Green has a long and successful experience in the Games as he won an Olympic gold medal with USA Basketball five years ago. The Warriors star averaged 1.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game in eight appearances.

The official roster of the USA Basketball is expected to be released late June, with training camp scheduled to begin July 6 in Las Vegas. The 2020 Olympics are scheduled to begin on July 23 in Tokyo. The men's basketball competition is set to start on July 25.

STREETOPIA will be bringing to you, in an exclusive coverage, all the insights, news and media coverage from the moment they step foot in Vegas all the way to Tokyo!
