Chicago Sky player and 15th-year WNBA star Candace Parker is the first basketball player to appear on the cover of a game in the popular video game franchise, NBA 2K. Scheduled for release on Sept. 10, the player was MVP in 2008 and 2013 and is also a two-time Olympic medallist (2008 and 2012), and now she will star in the special edition of NBA 2K22 in honour of the 25th season of the WNBA.
As everyone knows, the cover of NBA 2k has become an important platform responsible for inspiring legions of new players, and in this case, it celebrates a special moment of progress for the sport and for the brand, and also it gives voice to female and racial representation.
Parker is currently in her first season with Chicago Sky, having spent much of her career playing for the Los Angeles Sparks.
