The intimacy and admiration that former US President Barack Obama has for basketball is nothing new. Everyone know also about his exemplary conduct in terms of handling and creating initiatives well fit for the social justice and racial well-being as well, especially before his tenure when he worked as a community organizer in the southern region of the Chicago metropolitan area in the 1980s, an area highly populated by low-income and African American families.

Through a basketball that he received as a gift from his father when he was ten, Obama would later see at the high school team, that the sport would teach him discipline and work hard, how to compete and especially the sense of belonging to a team.

The Basketball Africa League, the NBA's arm that acts as an important vehicle for promoting the sport on the continent, increasing the league's involvement with players and fans, has recently announced on its social media, the arrival of Barack Obama as the newest reinforcement of the team.  He will help to expand the league's social responsibility across the continent, along with the development of programs and partnerships that support gender equality and economic inclusion.

STREETOPIA wishes all the success to Obama, we know how good his game is.
