WOULD THIS MEAN THE 'RETURN' OF AIR JORDAN XV?

Launched in late 1999 at a time when Tinker Hatfield planned to distance himself from the creative process of the Jordan line, the Air Jordan XV is considered the silhouettes that least impacted the brand's fans. But why?

The futuristic design inspired by the X-15 supersonic plane initially available in the ‘Black/Varsity Red’ colors, could be the first justification. The second, mainly because it was the first release after the second retirement of Michael Jordan and therefore it never had the honor of being worn on the court.

In the early 2000s, five more color options were released: 'Obsidian / White / Metallic Silver', 'Flint Gray / White', 'White / Midnight Navy', 'White / Dark Pine' and the 'White / Columbia Blue' ' together with the three-color low cut version, but it still didn't make the fuss of the previous models. Despite its low popularity, the Air Jordan XV was relaunched in 2007 in two colors, again in the Countdown Pack collection in 2008 and years later in 2017.

The Jordan Brand has recently announced the release of yet another version with a very minimalist bias through a collaboration with singer-songwriter Billie Eilish, a very popular name among young people. We know very well that this generation ends up being quite influenced by what their idols wear, they feel the buying urgency, either to be somehow closer to them or by the feeling of belonging or being accepted in a certain group.

Could this be the time for Jordan XV to take off? Well, I guess we will have to wait and see!
