Having over 30 years dedicated to humor, Chappelle his career includes great films and specials, such as his debut in the well-known and must-see Def Comedy Jam in the 80s, Chappelle's Show, Dave Chappelle's Block Party, Inside the Actor's Studio and one of his most recent, the 8’46’’ monologue, which revolves around the murder of George Floyd and the problems caused by racial and social injustice.
After the repercussion of 'This Time, This Place', a kind of love letter to his upbringing city of Yellow Springs, in Ohio, the last production made in these pandemic times that had the collaboration of local producers, it seems that it made sense for him to consider the possibility of building his own space for his comedy shows.
That's what Dave told WHIO TV, one of the local news outlets: “I’m not just trying to make a club, I’m trying to make a way. I’m trying to make a venue for our talents to be showcased, as well as my friends’ talents, so we can shine and be all the great things we can be in the world... ”
