If you follow the Chicago Bulls, even during offseason time, you certainly know that management opened their checkbooks big time on Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan to complete a roster overhaul, even some staff members behind the scenes were quietly replaced for supposedly better and more expensive choices.

During the summer, and after these new contracts were signed, there was an avalanche of incertitude article and mixed feelings as far as how these big and new names would work playing alongside Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic. There has been a lot of questions about how they'd look defensively and how DeRozan would function as a non-three-point shooter playing next to Ball and LaVine. It seemed to a lot of people that only the head coach and management had these answers.

Well, the Bulls are one of the league's three remaining unbeaten teams after wining in Toronto on Monday. It does seem now that all newcomers make sense in the Bull’s roster overhaul.

It turns out that Ball is an ideal backcourt complement to LaVine, and DeRozan was able to find his offense game just fine. And defensively, they've been great as well showing what basketball journalists are calling “a better and innovative defense and offensive strategy” thanks to the new roster. The news is that the Bulls ‘performance has been exceeding everyone’s expectations.

We will know for sure if the new Bulls is a serious contender for the championship once they go through next week’s game schedule, which will be an incredibly tough stretch.

One thing is certainly undisputable, this is easily the most promising and exciting Bulls’ team in at least five years.

This is the kind of news we all love. Every basketball fan has a soft spot for the Bulls?
