Keeping up with the best sustainable practices along with the latest CRATER technology, a cycling philosophy that leverages every production residue extracted from the production process to manufacture shoes with at least 25% of recycled material, Nike intends to further improve its processes and raw material origin.

According to Noel Kinder, Nike's Sustainability Director, 80% of the carbon that is used by the brand comes from the supply of its own raw materials. During the last United Nations Climate Change Conference held in Glasgow, Scotland, Kinder signed a letter of intent with the Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance (REBA) to reduce carbon emission by 30% and use 100% of renewable energy by 2025.

Sustainable awareness and small changes through large corporations like Nike may have a very positive impact on the environment.
