The NBA is back full of surprises, and Christmas, one of the main American holidays, wouldn’t be different. As tradition dictates, many families in the United States, and around the world, gather in their homes to watch the traditional NBA Christmas Day Games, now in its 74th edition.
Since the 1947 when the Chicago Stags played the Providence Steamrollers, the NBA has given that gift each year to fans who have been preparing since the start of the season's when the game schedule for Christmas is announced and they also expect the commercials that have also become already a tradition. There is always the expectation of unprecedented faceoffs between teams with that well-known rivalry, shoes worn with exclusive colorways and the performance of players that fans simply love.
The NBA Christmas Day Games are less than 20 days away and here is what to :
- Klay Thompson will be back after being off court for 2 seasons;
- We will have a glimpse of a possible final game this year between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets;
- The Atlanta Hawks will be back in the Christmas games, as their last appearance was in 1989;
- We will see the clash between Chris Paul and Stephen Curry, two of the greatest point guards in history;
- The games will feature important presences of international players such as Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic, Rudy Gobert, Evan Fournier, among others;
- We'll also look at the recent rivalry between the Knicks and Atlanta, due to the game in the first round of the last playoffs.
