The league this year certainly deserves acknowledgement for one aspect. About two years ago the world went into a pandemic mode and yesterday’s All-Star Game proved that the NBA not only kept their players in excellent shape, but the stats, abilities and technical level have also considerably improved, in the words of player’s commentators with headphones on the stands, TNT and ESPN commentators.

This is a clear indication of the powerhouse that exists behind the scenes when it comes to newly developed protocols and improvement even during uncertain and critical times and we wanted to highlight that to our readers.

The celebration of the 75th anniversary was hosted by Spike Lee and brought the message that the NBA was a family (with a lot of former NBA stars attending the show) since its early days with the effort all players, a genuine assumption that the league has always been unstoppable. Honoring Kobe during the show always triggered a round of applauses.

One of the messages showing during the transmission in the US was “A single ball most often changes the world of a child”

Fight against racial injustice aired in all markets, something that was well planned by the league in advance.

As for the weekend itself games and shows, LeBron Team won the 71st All-Star Game, defeating Team Durant 163-160, the dunks, the alley-oops, and the breathtaking three-point shot performance by Stephen Curry who went off for a game-high 50 points and an All-Star Game record of 16 3-pointers. And for that, yes, Curry got the 2022 MVP trophy!

Team LeBron won $450,000, funds which will be donated to Kent State I Promise Scholars program, while Team Durant won $300,000 for the Cleveland Food Bank.

The AT&T dunk contest was won by Obi Toppin with an incredible performance, another eye-catcher was when Toscano-Anderson asked Julius Erving, Dr. J, to sign his personal basketball before the contest started.

What a weekend.
