Brazil won once again in the Basketball Champions League of the Americas. São Paulo beat Biguá, from Uruguay, in a 98 to 84 game and became champion of the main tournament in South and Central America.

The team from São Paulo dominated from start to finish. Bruno Caboclo was simply unstoppable when it came to three-point shots and plays at the center (scoring 6 in 8 shots), the Uruguayans had a lot of difficulties to physically equalize the game.

After going into the break winning by ten points, São Paulo made an incredible 3rd quarter and took off on the scoreboard and landing at the final quarter even closer to the championship.

After scoring 29 points and catching 7 rebounds, Caboclo was elected the MVP of the competition. Bennett scored 17 points, Elinho and Marquinhos added 16 each. On the Uruguayan side, the leading scorer was the North American Victor Rudd, who scored 20 points.

Earlier, Minas, eliminated by São Paulo in the semifinals, won the 3rd place after beating Quimsa, from Argentina.
