Much has been speculated about the return of rapper Kendrick Lamar, mainly because he has not come up with any official release since his last album, the explosive and absolutely indispensable DAMN, in 2017.
As previously reported here on STREETOPIA, the rapper is in the final stages of producing his new album, which is scheduled for release on May 13, but for the joy of fans, 'The Heart Part 5', promotional single by Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers and fifth part of the series 'The Heart', is available on the main streaming platforms along with a video clip that makes use of deepfake technology, a technique that allows showing and changing people's faces simultaneously in photos and videos with the artificial intelligence support.
In this video, 'The Heart Part 5', it brings with it a clear reflection on empathy through dramatic moments played by black celebrities and how these issues somehow contributed to their respective careers being questioned and often harmed. Names like Kanye West, O.J. Simpson, Kobe Bryant, Wil Smith, Jussie Smollett and Nipsey Hussle were responsible for building this narrative.
Although without further information about the other tracks of Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, we've already had a sample that Kendrick Lamar will keep his tradition of putting another awesome and impacting project out for release.
