Léo Figueiró is part of basketball’s history in Brazil, both as a player and now as a head coach. Currently at Corinthians, the NBB League, the coach visited the “Pangea” / Streetopia venue in São Paulo, to honor the 2nd weekend of the Centauro Streetopia Open 2022.
From the stands, the coach was impressed with the facilities and even joked with former teammates who were on the court.
“As always, Streetopia has been innovating and growing massively. In terms of this new space, it's unbelievable what they've done with the structure. It brings a new vision for street basketball in the state of São Paulo and for Brazil. A championship of the highest level, super well-structured and very well organized. I fully support this project, which gets stronger every year. It is an example to be followed,”he added.
Already with several games played in the current edition, which is still in the beginning of the group phase, Léo praised the functioning of the event.
“This is an incredible venue, there is nothing like it in Brazil. The truth is this. Both in terms of physical space, organization, and structure. It is something that is sure to become a reference for training facilities in Brazil,” he commented.
Léo is preparing Corinthians for the next season, for competing in the NBB and also in the Paulista Championship.
