Most young people who live in peripheral areas are often guided by parents and family members to seek some type of recreational or sporting activity as a way to stay away from the streets and possible risks posed by bad examples.

The story of the young point guard and one of the rookies chosen by the Chicago Bulls to play in the 2021-22 NBA season is very similar - From humble origins, born and raised in the Chicago metropolitan area, he always followed his parents' teachings to avoid problems and stay focused on his studies.

His high school days at Morgan Park School were very special, as his passion for basketball flourished there, a common desire of most of the young people who live there, especially for the magic of becoming something close to what Michael Jordan was. At an older age, already at the University of Illinois and one of the players of Illinois Fighting Illini, Ayo Dosunmu was quickly becoming one of the main bets of the 2021 NBA Draft.

This and so many of his other stories can be seen in the documentary 'Hometown: The Story of Ayo Dosunmu, a production by the Chicago Bulls which is part of a series created specially to highlight young Chicago talents who ended up landing in the franchise.

Eliminated by the Milwaukee Bucks in the playoffs, the Chicago Bulls are already preparing for the 2022-23 season.
